One thing I like about being home is the microwave. There are a lot of things you can do with a microwave, whole meals you could make, but I like having access to one because I can heat up my tea when it inevitably goes cold because I’ve left it sitting somewhere (the worst). Unintentionally cold tea should be a crime.
In other news, I RECEIVED MY PASSPORT! I am actually going to London. LONDON LONDON LONDON! It makes me feel a little hyperactive, but in the absolutely best way possible. I am less skeptical now that I have my actual passport. I still won’t believe it until I’m standing in the city. And I have tea. London-ness and tea. That will cure my skepticism. I am ridiculously excited.
Also, I have started two books A Lost Lady by Willa Cather and Blankets by Craig Thompson. They are very different. I’m going to finish the Cather novel first methinks.
So far this vacation I have accomplished very little. I’ve read a bit, but for the most part I’ve spent my time either on the computer, watching television (sometimes on the computer), or hanging out with friends. The latter is by far my favorite activity. I can’t get enough of the people I admire.
In TV land, I started the second season of American Horror Story. It is messed up in so many ways. There are also so many plot arcs this season that I don’t see how all the various strands are going to come together, but I’m excited to witness how the creators will try. It’s an improvement on the first season in terms of complexity, however it’s also considerably more disturbing.
I do want to take advantage of my Netflix though. I’m torn between all the various series I want to start. This is a list:
- Downton Abbey
- Freaks and Geeks
- Vampire Diaries
- Supernatural
- Gossip Girl (even though I know the ending and think it’s stupid)
- Undeclared
- The Walking Dead
- Game of Thrones
- Community
- Merlin
That’s not even all of them. There is so much content I want to absorb that I don’t even know where to begin. My top priority, of course, is Downton Abbey but I’m watching that with my boyfriend so I can’t go ahead without him. I finished the first season on New Year’s Eve. !!! My excitement levels are so high. Mary – Matthew and Bates – Anna, I ship it. ❤
I guess this might be a glimpse of what the next few months of my life might be. Hopefully I can sneak a bit more literature in there. Some video games too, if I can help it. But my biggest hope is that I can spend more time with my family and friends, the people I like best.
